Brexiteer Tory MP owns himself by asking the Polish government to block Article 50 extension

It's become a running theme of the complete and utter disaster that's otherwise known as 'Brexit' to see staunch Brexiteers well and truly owning themselves.

In fact, perhaps it's the whole fiasco's one-and-only redeeming feature.

Lo and behold, it's happened again.

This time, member of parliament for Shrewsbury Daniel Kawczynski, a staunch Brexiteer, took to Twitter to write:

Any attempts by Remainer MPs to delay or obstruct #Brexit must be opposed.

Today I have formally asked Polish Government to veto any motions by EU to allow extension of Article 50.

We are leaving 11pm on March 29th as promised @StandUp4Brexit

Ok, that sounds great. You want to hand over the reins to a foreign government, and take decisions away from our parliament. Absolute genius!

Needless to say, many people were quick to point out the irony (idiocy).

And one summed it up.
