People are comparing 2016 vs 2019 Brexit and no one is impressed

It can sometimes feel hard to remember life before the EU referendum.

You could mindlessly scroll through social media without any mention of “Article 50”, the “backstop” a “people’s vote”, a “Norway plus-style deal” or a “red-white-and-blue-Brexit”.

And there was no talk of possible medicine shortages, traffic chaos and civil unrest in the event of a no-deal Brexit.

How things have changed.

In recognition of this, some people have taken to Twitter to compare life just after the EU referendum to our current predicament.

Lots of people have focused on some of the slightly worrying no-deal Brexit preparations put in place in recent months.

Luckily predictions that London will transform into "sharktown" by 2019 haven't come true just yet.
