Game of Thrones: Brienne’s touching final scene becomes a hilarious meme

Warning: This article contains spoilers for Game of Thrones season 8.

A lot of Game of Thrones fans were left disappointed by the endings for some characters in the show’s finale.

But while many people were arguing about Daenerys and Jon Snow, a group of fans were thinking about how Brienne of Tarth deserved better.

Brienne had proved she was one of the most powerful fighters in the Seven Kingdoms and helped to protect the Stark girls as she’d promised.

So what did the showrunners choose for her final moments?

They chose a scene of her writing a loving tribute to Jamie Lannister…

Brienne and Jamie were built up throughout the series as a potential couple, and slept together in season 8, but he ended up leaving her to go back to his sister Cersei.

Considering the way he ditched her, you'd think Brienne wouldn’t have a very positive view of him.

Why did she still have so much time for him?

And while fans can’t do anything about the show now, they took their chance to meme the ending they wanted by imagining what she should have written.

As nice as Brienne's tribute was, it’s unlikely that anyone will be able to read it - as fans noticed she didn’t let the ink dry before closing the book…

Some fans were left wondering if the ending was a satisfying conclusion for one of the show’s most well-loved characters.

Although she did become the Lord Commander of the Kingsguard, which was a life-long dream for her.

Brienne was one of the few Game of Thrones characters who ended up getting something she wanted.
