The last account David Bowie followed on Twitter before he died was 'God'

One year ago today, the Thin White Duke, David Bowie, sadly passed away.

Just before he died, the star released his final album titled 'Lazurus'.

Anna Doble at Newsbeat noticed that Bowie's official Twitter account had been making connections right up until the singer's death, following several news outlets and journalists - and the popular Word of God account.

Some quick investigative journalism later, and it appears that Bowie (or at least his publicist) really did follow God (or at least his Twitter account):


God, being omniscient, noticed his new follower. And when Bowie went to meet his maker, He had a message for him too:
