Someone sent this perfect message to a Muslim family after Trump's inauguration

So, Donald Trump was officially sworn in as the 45th president of the United States one year ago.

Many were unsure how to respond.

If the clashes during the inauguration and the thousands of protests held all over the world in the last year are anything to go by, things look like they'll continue to get even more tense and divided.

Which is why this letter represents such a heartwarming alternative...

Hend Amry, sometimes described online as 'the Queen of Muslim Twitter posted a photo of a letter on Twitter.

The caption claims that neighbours had left it on her uncle's door in Ohio.

The card reads:

Dear Neighbours,


Today begins a new stage for our country.


No matter what happens, please know there are still a lot of people who will fight for your right to practice [sic] your religion, to continue to live your lives without discrimination.


You are welcome in our neighbourhood and if you need anything - please knock on our door.
