It's possible that the enormity of running one of the world's largest economies and armed forces is beginning to dawn on Donald Trump.

Just days away from his official 100th day in office, Trump gave an exclusive interview to Reuters, where he commented:

I loved my previous life. I had so many things going.

This is more work than in my previous life. I thought it would be easier.

He thought.

It would be easier.

Being President of the United States.

Just let that sink in.

Almost as galling, he also paused a discussion about the Chinese President to hand out copies of an electoral map, showing the areas he won during the election months ago. "It's pretty good, right? The red is obviously us."

Seriously, here he is holding it up.

He was also quoted complaining about missing driving, or lacking in privacy, or the 24-hour Secret Service protection.

None of those complaints are likely to garner much sympathy from the people of the United States.

In fact, it's his comments about the job being harder than he thought that has Twitter users up in arms...

And this, our personal favourite...
