Fox News host branded 'monstrous' for saying Joe Biden 'won't be on the ticket' by election day

Political pundits are paid for their insights.

But sometimes ‘foresight’ can move into ‘Mystic Meg’ territory.

Which is when you end with morbid predictions like the one Fox News host Jeanine Pirro made yesterday about presidential candidate Joe Biden.

It appeared to suggest that some horrible, unknown thing was going to befall the Democratic nominee before he reached the polls.

Speaking to Jesse Watters on Wednesday, Pirro said:

I have a lot of thoughts.

The first thought I have is that for some reason, I have this feeling that Joe Biden isn’t going to be on the ticket.

I have this sense that something’s going to happen before the election and he’s not even going to be on the ticket.

So don’t even ask me if he’s going to make the four years.

Naturally, some people thought that she was referring to Biden getting ill or perhaps even dying, judging from the seemingly doom-laden comments.

This led to Pirro being deemed “monstrous”.

Others accused her of “inciting violence”.

People perceived these statements as sounding like a “threat” and referenced Pirro’s previous appearances on Fox, where she was accused of being intoxicated on air. She has denied this.

Pirro’s bizarre comment even seemed to surprise her fellow panellists, with Brett Baier chiming in to refute it.

“Let me say I respect Judge Jeanine’s opinions and her fiery passions about things,” Baier said.

“Last night was the last Democratic primary, Connecticut, where 60 delegates went to Joe Biden. So he is going to be the nominee and next week we will see the official nomination. You’re saying he doesn’t make it all the way. The bumper stickers are already printed. It is Biden-Harris. He is going to be the nominee next week”.

Pirro then walked back her earlier statement and attempted a clarification, saying she hopes Joe Biden “lives forever”.

I just want to say something.

Look, I wish him all good health, that’s not what I’m talking about. He’s got the numbers, but things are so crazy right now.

I don’t know what’s happening in the Democrat Party and that’s all I’m saying. I hope he lives forever, that’s not my point. I know he’s got the numbers.

Probably best to put the crystal ball away now Jeanine...
