It's hard to fathom but, even though the 2016 presidential election was two and a half years ago - and while that feels like a lifetime - so little has actually changed.
Despite beating her in the election and convincing half of America that she is a criminal who deserves to be locked up, Trump still can't get over his obsession with Hillary Clinton.
The latest chapter in their personal feud came after Clinton confirmed that she has no intention of running for president in the 2020 election.
Speaking to the New York TV station News12, Clinton said although she won't be running she will keep standing up for what she believes in and the current state of American is "deeply troubling to me".
I’m not running but I’m going to keep on working and speaking and standing up for what I believe.Â
What’s at stake in our country, the kind of things that are happening right now are deeply troubling to me.
Trump, perhaps longing for the halcyon days of 201, tweeted that he would miss running against 'Crooked Hillary' again.
Rather than ignore Trump's petty attempts for attention, Clinton decided to respond to the president's remarks but didn't come back with anything articulate to prove her intellectual superiority over Trump.
No, like any commenter on Twitter, she looked up her finest collection of gifs and pulled one straight from the classic 2004 teen comedy Mean Girls and asked the president 'why he was so obsessed with her?'
We can't be sure if Hillary has seen Mean Girls but, if we had to put money on it, we'd say that she and Bill have sat down every once in a while and had fun hurling bitchy insults at each other.
The response on Twitter was in universal support for Hillary with some even claiming that it was the best tweet of the year, so far.
Trump is yet to respond but we can only presume that he would accidentally tweet a gif from the lesser-seen Mean Girls 2. We really wish he 'didn't go here' but unfortunately he does.
