Over 50 people have been killed and over 500 injured in an attack on a concert on the Las Vegas Strip on Sunday night.
A 64-year-old white man was identified by police as the gunman behind the attack.
Strangers used guard rails to help carry victims to vehicles, which would then take them to hospital.
Following the attack, residents of Las Vegas waited in line to give blood at the United Blood Services, with queues stretching down the street.
Donations were carted in from external setups, so large was the supply.
People waited up to six hours in line, and social media was flooded with images of community:
The centre also prioritised some donors, based on demand:
O- and AB+ donors are being moved to the front of the line if you are able and willing to donate blood. #LasVegas— Nikki Villoria (@Nikki Villoria) 1506973577
People were also reported to be donating food, clothes and supplies to victims.
