Piers Morgan stormed off the Good Morning Britain set after colleague slams his ‘diabolical’ behaviour

Piers Morgan stormed off the Good Morning Britain set earlier today after co-presenter Alex Beresford called him out for his “diabolical” behaviour.

The outspoken presenter has been more than vocal about his disdain for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after the couple’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, which aired in the UK on 8th March.

Morgan was criticised by Beresford after he dismissed Meghan Markle’s severe mental health claims during a previous episode. However, Piers Morgan refused to listen to Beresford’s point of view and chose to walk off during the broadcast instead, forcing Susanna Reid to cut to a break.

Alex Beresford didn’t hold back when he told Morgan that Meghan Markle “entitled to cut him off if she wanted to.”

“Has she said anything about you since she cut you off? I don’t think she has and yet you continue to trash her,” he went on.

Beresford was referring to Piers’ claims that he and Meghan used to talk until she “dropped him” for Harry.

“They’ve had an overwhelming amount of negative press,” Beresford explained before Piers swiftly exited the set.

“You know, I watched the programme yesterday and, yes, they had some great press around the wedding, but what press is going to trash someone’s special day?

“There was bad press around the engagement before the engagement, and everything that has followed since has been incredibly damaging, quite clearly, to Meghan’s mental health and also to Harry.”

Piers Morgan has received little sympathy for his outburst with many quick to point out that the presenter often subjects his guests to harsher critiques.

As one person tweeted: “Piers Morgan has built a career based on tearing down the character of others. Yet today the weatherman Alex Beresford calls him out and the Snowflake storms off set.”

“Always funny when the ones that dish it out the most can’t take the slightest bit of criticism themselves,” tweeted another.

While others slammed Morgan for his childlike behaviour:

Others felt Morgan knew exactly what he was doing.

Beresford did get some praise from his fellow news broadcasters.

Morgan did respond saying that he didn’t want to sit there and listen to his colleagues call him ‘diabolical.’

Piers Morgan is currently receiving a lot of backlash for his comments of late and was recently branded a “disgrace” by women’s rights activist Dr. Shola Mos Shogbamimu after he accused Meghan Markle and Prince Harry of “race-baiting.”

More: Meghan saying she had suicidal thoughts during Oprah interview was more than revealing. It was heartbreaking.
