Meghan Markle referred to the Royal Family as ‘The Firm’ and the jokes wrote themselves

Meghan Markle has labelled the Royal Family as “The Firm” in a new clip from the explosive new CBS interview with Oprah Winfrey.

In the 30-second video, the Duchess, in a one on one with the US broadcast legend, said “I don’t know how they could expect that after all this time we should still just be silent.”

This followed on from Oprah asking about the potential backlash from the Windsor’s for taking part in the major televised event. Markle was prepared, saying “There was an active role the Firm is playing perpetuating falsehoods about this.”

This was shared following bullying claims against the now Hollywood-based royal couple. These were revealed by The Times and sparked the Palace to begin an investigation, despite some social media users pointing out the British press’ regal priorities.

In the clip, Markle acknowledged their decision to breakaway could mean “losing things” this was a chance she was willing to take after reporting she and Prince Harry had lost so much already.
