Twitter might have helped to give us president Trump and Brexit, but there’s life in the blue bird yet.
Today Channel 4’s official Twitter account has done something than millions of people in the UK would love to do: it told Piers Morgan to “go f*** himself”.
Yes, that’s right, in the below tweet, the pioneering TV channel didn’t hold back in letting one of Britain’s most loathed man know how it feels.
Dear @PiersMorgan. Hope you're having a wonderful morning. Why don’t you go and f**k yourself. #SU2CRewards,— Channel 4 (@Channel 4) 1540553784
But all is not quite as it seems.
The tweet appears to be connected with Channel 4’s “Stand Up To Cancer” campaign. On its website, it states that for a £50 donation they’ll insult Morgan. So, as well as entertainment, a good cause is also benefiting. It truly is a win-win situation.

Naturally, given that the channel has said what so many people would love to, Twitter erupted with reactions.

Morgan has yet to respond. But considering he's always branding young people "snowflakes", we're sure he'll take the joke on the chin - particularly seeing as it's for such a good cause.
