On Sunday the New York times published an article about Donald Trump, painting a bleak, solitary existence for the president in the White House.
It was reported that aides often held meetings in the dark because they couldn’t work out how the light switches worked in the cabinet room, and visitors were left to test “doorknobs until finding one that leads to an exit”.
Sean Spicer, the White House press secretary demanded an apology from the news organisation, calling the article “riddled with inaccuracies and lies”.
Donald Trump also, apparently, watches “television in his bathrobe”.
Spicer was quick to step in, denying the allegation.
I don't think the president owns a bathrobe. He definitely doesn’t wear one.
The internet said: challenge accepted.
