The number of international migrants in the world increased by a third from 2000 to 2013 to a level of 232 million.
Migrants today are more skilled than ever before, with the majority of the most highly educated immigrating from India and the Philippines.
According to the most recent data from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), UK migrants are the fourth most educated, with Germany and Poland following close behind.
With this in mind, we asked Statista to visualise the data and create a chart to show the top countries where educated migrants come from.
