Luanda has the dubious honour of beating the likes of London and New York to being named the most expensive city in the world for expats to live.
A new report by consultancy firm Mercer placed the Angolan capital top of its list for the second year in a row.
The company compares cities' costs of living based on a basket of over 200 goods - including staple foods and things like hamburgers and cinema tickets - combined with high standard accommodation costs, according to the Financial Times (£).
Cities like Luanda and N'Djamena, the capital of Chad, make the list owing to the scarcity of certain international goods.
