This scientist is possibly the world's most committed teacher

Meet MIT neuroscientist Nancy Kanwisher, who discovered the area of the brain that recognises faces.

In a video for students she attempts to show where all the regions of the brain that perform specific functions actually are in relation to the human head... and goes to extreme lengths to make it crystal clear.

"It's kind of hard to tell with all this damn hair in the way, so let's take care of that," she says, before grabbing some scissors and cutting away.

Grad student Rosa Lafer-Sousa helps completely shave Professor Kanwisher's head, before meticulously replicating a scan of her brain to indicate where the different regions are.

Talk about one seriously committed teacher...
