The 33-foot inflatable blimp shows Donald Trump as a huge chicken wearing a black-and-white outfit labelled Prisoner 45, which refers to Trump being the United States' 45th president.
The chicken's creators plan to sail the blimp on Sunday from Hyde Street Corner in San Francisco, to Embarcadero, Ferry Building, and then possibly to McCovey Cove, reports local news outlet Kron 4.
This won't be the first time the chicken has had an outing. It was first paraded at the San Francisco Tax March on April 15 2017. It was also seen behind the White House in February this year, and was most recently sailed around Alcatraz on Presidents' Day weekend.
The group, calling themselves trumpchicken.org, are raising money via a GoFundMe page to let the chicken once again set sail Sunday 22 July, from 11:30am to 3pm, down the Embacadero bay. At the time of writing, the campaign has raised $715 of its $4,000 total.
On the page, they explain their motives with the project:
We at Trump Chicken are civic minded.
We want to give you a chance to speak your piece to the Chicken President when we sail our 33-foot bird in his Prisoner45 shirt slowly down the Embarcadero and further south this Sunday in a prison transport boat.
As he sails past, you can say anything you want to President Chicken.
You can mock and squawk and swear like you’ve never sworn before in a proud expression of your First Amendment right.
Bring your friends. Make some signs and banners. Wear costumes. Dance. Everyone remember we’re still free.
