Trump asked to wrap up Fox News interview five times in cringe-worthy clip

It is a universally acknowledged truth that president Donald Trump likes nothing more than speaking about himself and Fox News presenter Maria Bartiromo just found out the hard way.

In fact, even his allies often say that the only thing Donald Trump really believes in is Donald Trump.

Following ongoing revelations from the Mueller report - which details the extent of alleged Russian interferance in the 2016 election - Trump has been on the offensive. As Democrats line up to begin impeachment proceedings against the president, based on findings in the report which infer he may have obstructed justice, Trump is not backing down.

Appearing on Fox, his favourite platform, Trump lambasted the proceedings as a “coup”, saying it was the work of the “deep state”. Presenter Maria Bartiromo could barely get a word in edgeways, with Trump frequently talking over and interrupting her.

This was brought to ahead in a hilarious compilation clip which shows the presenter desperately trying and failing to get Trump off the line.

Baritromo tried to end Trump interview 5 times in the 18-minute chat, at minutes 12, 14, 15, 16 and 17, before finally succeeding at 18.

Needless to say, the internet was amused and disturbed.
