It's easy to forget that before the demons plagued Amy Winehouse later in life she was once a carefree and happy-go-lucky little girl.
A clip from Amy, the new documentary about the singer's rise to stardom until her untimely death from alcohol poisoning in 2011, shows her prodigious talent shining through early on.
In the video 14-year-old Amy is giggling with some friends at the end of a birthday party for her friend Lauren, who is filming.
The girls are sitting on the stairs and eating birthday sweets when they break out into a rendition of happy birthday - and Winehouse's soulful voice is so powerful she eventually leaves her friends in stunned silence.
Amy is out in cinemas on July 3.
