Whatever you do, don't buy this phone case

Here's a top tip, in case you hadn't thought about it before: don't buy and use a phone case that looks like a gun.

New York police have warned that iPhone cases for sale online shaped like the grip of a handgun are a "deathtrap" because from a distance they can easily be mistaken for a real weapon.

And since cops in the US and elsewhere are often trigger happy enough, it's probably best not to give them a reason.

We're not sure which phone case is stupider, the gun or the knuckle duster.
