These photos were leaked to the Techradar website, apparently by an Apple beta tester looking for a new career direction.

They're among the best leaked photos we've seen so far, showing the iPhone 6 in its packaging seemingly ready to ship.

Apple's latest smartphone is expected to be announced on September 9, and could be on sale within ten days.

Here's what we expect to see:

• Larger screen of either 4.7in or 5.5in.

• iOS8

• Sapphire display instead of Gorilla Glass (if you really wanted to you could stab your iPhone 6 with a knife)

• Thinner handset

• Aluminium chassis (instead of glass)

• 13 megapixel camera

• Battery life just about keeping pace with new hardware and apps
