There's a problem with this photo of a 'beaten-up female Trump supporter'

It's been revealed that a Conservative meme purportedly showing a female Donald Trump supporter left with bloody facial injuries after being attacked by liberals is actually costume make up from a TV show.

Twitter account Conservative Nation posted the picture on Monday, claiming the woman pictured was injured at a Trump protest in San Jose last week.

While there were scuffles between pro and anti Trump supporters last week, and people were egged and punched, this woman wasn't there.

She's actually Australian actor Samara Weaving, who posted a picture to Instagram of her make-up on set while filming comedy-horror show Ash vs Evil Dead.

You can even see a bit of the Mail Online caption in the bottom left hand corner.

FFS. It's like they're not even trying. And yet:
