Elon Musk and Grimes have changed their baby's name and it's even more complicated than before

A lot can happen in 21 days, especially when your parents are Elon Musk and Grimes.

Yes, we are talking about X Æ A-12 or as the child is now known; X Æ A-Xii.

If you remember back to when the boy was born less than a month ago there was some confusion as to whether the name was legal as California laws only allow for the 26 letters of the English alphabet to be used in a name, as well as hyphens and apostrophes.

Obviously a name like X Æ A-12 wouldn't have complied to those laws hence they have had to confirm a slight change. Although the Æ remains the number twelve has been replaced with the roman numerals for the letter.

Grimes confirmed this news in an Instagram post on Sunday.

In the comments to the above post she was asked "Did you change the baby name because of Californian laws? What is the baby's new name?"

Grimes replied by simply stating the baby's new name.

Grimes went on to add that she thought that 'Roman numerals looked better' and clarified that 'one dash is allowed'.

At least this now complies with the laws but it is arguably even more confusing as we'd bet more people know how to write 12 as opposed to it's Roman numeral alternative.

Still, we can't wait to see what Gwyneth Paltrow makes of it.
