What's the greatest British comedy series? It's a question that has been debated for decades, but a new survey may have settled the matter once and for all.
The UK's favourite series is 'Only Fools and Horses', according to a survey of 1,742 British adults. Lovely Jubbly!
In the YouGov survey the series which stars Sir David Jason as Del Boy and Nicholas Lyndhurst as Rodney achieved double the amount of nominations than second placed 'Blackadder'.
The same survey also polled the British public's favourite comedian or comedy duo, which has resulted in a victory for the classic double act of Morecambe and Wise.
Astoundingly Morecambe and Wise were the least favourite among 18-24 year olds, implying that their humour is either a generational thing, or that we young 'uns have not been appropriately educated in their humour.
Similarly in terms of series', 18-24 year olds prefer 'Blackadder' to 'Only Fools and Horses'.
