Tuesday’s episode of the popular TV show Wheel of Fortune got off to a cheeky start.
Contestant Kevin had to guess the final letter in the statement and it should have been a hole-in-one:
A STREET CAR NA_ED DESIRE
And for the win...😂 @WheelofFortune #wheeloffortune #lol https://t.co/ICBeU51GmU— Jamie Hawryliak (@Jamie Hawryliak) 1490138055
The last letter, as most of you will know (because you're a) cultured people or b) you learned about it in school) is Tennessee Williams' Pulitzer Prize winning play A Streetcar Named Desire.
No, Kevin had other ideas.
He guessed the letter 'K'.
A STREETCAR NAKED DESIRE
The contestant after him - Lisa - got the name and took the victory, but the damage was done. And people on Twitter took no prisoners.
People just could not deal with it.

Host Pat Sajak however, liked the new name.
And although you got the right answer, I’d rather see Kevin’s play.
Fair.
