There’s now a ‘dildo-throwing epidemic’ at NFL games in Buffalo

The Buffalo Bills had an unexpected NSFW situation on their hands during their match against the New England Patriots on Saturday - when a dildo appeared in the endzone after their opponents scored a touchdown.

Bills fans are known for throwing dildos on the field when they play against the Patriots, and it’s become somewhat of a tradition.

It began five seasons ago when a fan tossed the sex toy into the end zone at Highmark Stadium (which was then called the Ralph Wilson Stadium).

The fan-favorite tradition was revived during the third quarter on Saturday, when the Bills had already pulled well ahead.

The Patriots QB Mac Jones hit Kendrick Bourne for a three-yard strike with four minutes left in the third quarter.

Footage captured Bourne angrily pointing out the dildo to the referee and boom, a meme was instantly born.

Of course, the activity was not appreciated by the venue, and probably not the players either. The stadium PA soon after issued a reminder not to throw objects onto the field.

Side judge Keith Washington was eventually seen kicking the fake penis out of bounds.

Hilariously, one sports site has referred to the tradition as a 'dildo-throwing epidemic' and it’s pretty accurate being how much fans enjoy it.

Sports fans reacted to the moment incredulously on Twitter.

“The highlight of my NFL weekend? Easily the dildo thrown on the field in Buffalo,” one person joked.

“A damn dildo spent more time in the endzone than the Patriots offense,” read one comment.

“Never forget,” another said plainly.

“Somebody threw a dildo at Kendrick Bourne during his TD celebration lol,” wrote one person.
