Giant Cristiano Ronaldo statue is erected

Cristiano Ronaldo's new statue is quite... something.

The 10ft likeness in bronze was unveiled in the Portuguese footballer's hometown of Funchal, Madeira.

The island is home to the two-time Ballon d'Or winner's personal museum, housing medals, trophies and other memorabilia from the 29-year-old's glittering career so far.

"This is a very special moment, to have a statue of me," Ronaldo said.
