It's been three years but all good things have to come to an end.
With a domestic campaign in tatters and a European involvement looking more uncertain every day one of Britain's most prominent leaders has lost their job.
That's right Jose Mourinho has been sacked as manager of Manchester United, following his side's emphatic 3-1 loss to Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday.

Even if you don't follow football, it's been hard to avoid Mourinho's various temper tantrums throughout the season as his side put in a series of limp and uninspiring performances.
His departure from Old Trafford is long overdue and to be honest we could say the same about the leader of our fair country who could really do with her own last-minute goal from Marouane Fellaini to save her premiership.
With the hot seat at Manchester United now vacant, Theresa May might consider a swift and unlikely move into football as to be frank the politics lark doesn't seem to have worked out too well for her.
Shortly after Mourinho's sacking, Twitter was flooded with jokes and meme's at the Portuguese coaches expense, with the Theresa May analogy proving to be very popular.

The most startling thing about this is that May has actually outlasted Mourinho, who actually had some success in Europe during his tenure at United.
Some are hoping for the double whammy of May and Mourinho leaving their job before Christmas.

Comedian Romesh Ranganathan also made this important point about the future of Britain let alone Man Utd.
Hilarious that anyone talking about Mourinho sacking as if we’re going to have a Premier League next season. We’ll be lucky to have food.— Romesh Ranganathan (@Romesh Ranganathan) 1545132360
