A man dressed as Elsa from Frozen is being hailed a hero after helping a police car that was stuck in the snow.

The video of the unidentified man sees him pushing the police truck as it struggles to get out of the snow in Boston, in the US.

At one point, he can be seen pull up his dress to get a better angle to push. And after a few seconds struggling with the snow, he manages to get the police truck out.

It was quickly uploaded to Twitter, where it accrued more than 53,000 'likes' and almost 20,000 'views'.

A drag queen dressed as Elsa just single-handedly freed a stuck police wagon from a blizzard in the middle of March. If that sentence doesn't perfectly encapsulate the spirit of Boston, I don't know what does.

If anyone knows the identity of this glamorous superhero, please ask them to get in touch with me so I can credit them for their incredible act of bravery!

People are impressed.

What a hero.

Others criticised those who recorded him rather than helping.

People in the video can be heard laughing from inside the restaurant and cheering “Elsa, Elsa!”.

One young woman claims the man in question is her cousin, and uploaded a message exchange between them.

The cold never bothered him, anyway.
