Jessica Lewis, a student of Political Science, emailed her tutor Dr Kennedy, begging for her dog Luna to be allowed to attend an upcoming lecture.

In an email to her tutor on Thursday, ahead of Hurricane Irma, Lewis explained that she needed to beat 'storm traffic', and make it home to Atlanta with Luna to take shelter from the storm.

Lewis therefore needed to leave Kennedy's class immediately when it ended, and having Luna present would make it all possible.

To entice a yes out of Kennedy, she even attached photos of said pooch.

Kennedy replied perfectly:

Did you think calling me 'cool' would get me to say yes?

Because it won't work.

What will work is that SHE'S OBVIOUSLY A GOOD GIRL SO OF COURSE YOU CAN BRING HER.

Imgur user Anylin shared photos of the grand day out.

Lewis told The Dodo:

She was pretty well-behaved in class, She went straight to whoever was talking for the most part, like if someone was answering or asking a question. Just walked around and got pets from everyone and made friends. The really funny part was that every time the professor stopped and asked if anyone had questions or comments, she whined loudly like she was responding. It was hilarious.

Kennedy was also pleased by Luna's presence.

He loved having her and had no complaints at all. He was wonderful about it; he just laughed with us whenever she did something funny.

According The Dodo, Luna and Lewis were able to evacuate on time, and make it to Atlanta safely.
