People are using the ‘is this a pigeon’ meme to talk about the complexities of life

As far as memes go, 'Is This A Pigeon' has been around for a while.

It's based on an actual anime from 1991 called The Brave Fighter of Sun Fighbird, where the main character points at a butterfly and asks if it is a pigeon.

Dramatic irony, stay with it.

Well, the meme has graduated from a lowly screengrab to a vehicle through which people can interrogate life.

It comes in the form of deep and meaningful musings on lots of topics.
