Presenting the worst slogan for a beer ever conceived

Budweiser has apologised and withdrawn a slogan claiming it is "the perfect beer for removing 'no' from your vocabulary for the night".

The tagline was featured on cans and is a continuation of the brand's 'Up for Whatever' advertising campaign.

After a picture of the slogan on a can of Bud Light went viral on Reddit, it was widely criticised with one tweeter suggesting it was the "Official Beer of Rape Culture".

A spokesperson for Budweiser told the New York Times the slogan was one of more than 140 messages made as part of the campaign.

They added it would not be used again, saying: “It’s clear that this message missed the mark, and we regret it. We would never condone disrespectful or irresponsible behavior.”
