There's something quite wrong with this New York Times picture of Barack Obama

On Paul Krugman’s latest blog in the New York Times, he argues that Republicans choose to listen to rhetoric over substance with regard to policy on terrorism, citing a recent bump in the polls for Donald Trump following the Paris attacks.

More eagle-eyed readers may have noticed something off with the accompanying photograph to the article, however.

It depicts US president Barack Obama and then secretary of state Hillary Clinton in the instantly recognisable situation room photograph, observing the operation to kill Osama Bin Laden.

If you look closer:

We're not sure if Krugman is trolling us all though, as hours later the photo is still there.

Update: It was deliberate!

Krugman writes:

Update: Yes, I know there’s a cat in the picture; I took it from Slate, “The Cats of War.” I’ve used that image before, to lighten things up slightly. Apparently I didn’t succeed.
