This man is holding his student's child. Here's why

This image of Hebrew University lecturer Dr Sydney Engelberg holding a baby during a class has gone viral.

It was put on Facebook by Dr Engelberg's daughter, Sarit Fishbaine, who said her father was the "best in the world".

“There’s a lot of young mums and a lot of them have babies, and he encourages them to just bring their babies to class,” she said in the post.

Dr Engelberg is a father of four and grandfather of five. When one of the children in his social psychology class began to cry, he scooped him up to soothe him and continued lecturing on organisational management.

His wife Siskind told Yahoo Parenting that he had received "love letters" since the story went viral, adding: “He’s pretty blasé about it, and we just find it all very funny. I think it must have happened on a no-news day.”
