People making fake celebrity porn are obsessed with Nicolas Cage

Fake celebrity porn has been blowing up on the internet recently, especially on Reddit, where users use AI-powered facial recognition software to face swap famous faces with porn stars. The creators call them 'deepfakes' and the results are sometimes seamless enough to be mistaken for real porn.

It is an exceedingly problematic new trend; there's often no consent and it can in some cases be a form of harassment or revenge porn. There are also reports suggesting the law can't really help if you do feature in a deekfake video. One professor noted in Wired magazine:

It falls through the cracks because it’s all very betwixt and between.

But face swappers... or deepfakers ...took a break from the hobby over the last few days instead focusing on…you guessed it, Nicolas Cage.

With the help of AI, users placed the actor's face into films he's never acted in. Some of those include Forrest Gump, Judgement Day, Amy Adams in Batman v Superman and he even appears as Stannis Baratheon from Game of Thrones.
