This Valentine's day, get yourself a partner that looks at you the same way Ivanka looks at Justin Trudeau

Canadian prime minister and kid detective Justin Trudeau visited the White House on Monday.

This Valentine's Day, journalist Phil Lewis saw a loving subtext in the roundtable discussion of female entrepreneurs.

Between Trudeau and President Trump's daughter Ivanka.

Let's take a closer look.

Do you see how he appears to push in her seat for her? Gentlemen!

When was the last time Jared did that?

There she is, totally thinking what we would all think in a room with Justin.

Oh no! TransAlta president and CEO Dawn Farrell has clocked it!

She's onto you Ivanka.

Are the doe eyes really appropriate for the Cabinet room?

Of course, this is all just inference from some photos.

But what is love, if not inference?

In November, during the transition period, President Trump was criticised for including his daughter on formal calls with president of Argentina and joined a meeting with Japanese prime minister.

Ivanka Trump holds no formal role within the administration.

The discussion this Monday was about women in business, specifically those at the top of the corporate ladder.

Ivanka was included because she's an entrepreneur (one who got a nice leg up from her father's father's business), and presumably President Trump felt there was no conflict of interest putting together lots of business executives with a member of his own family, who is also heavily involved in running his business.

In his opening remarks, Trump announced the launching of the Canada-United States Council for Advancement of Women Entrepreneurs.

Ivanka was the first invited to introduce herself (invited by her father, the President)

Welcome.  I’m honoured to be here, and really looking forward to hearing from each of you who serve as tremendous role models for me and so many other business leaders.  [Inaudible] our countries can lend some tremendously valuable perspective as we think about the unique challenges that entrepreneurs, women in the workforce, female small-business owners are confronted with each and every day.  And as we think about how we level the playing field for this generation and for the next.

An unfortunate typo in the White House's transcript then incorrectly identifies the first non-Trump family member woman present to speak as 'Mr Farrell', when it was in fact master sleuth and entrepreneur Dawn Farrell.
