In April last year, Jon Snow, of Channel 4 News, colourful tie/socks combo and poppy protest fame, met with Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow on Game of Thrones.

Eighteen months on, Snow Sr has finally surpassed Snow/Snow by doing something the Queen never dared to do...

... actually sitting on the Iron Throne.
