If you're not familiar with La La Land, there are spoilers ahead - stop reading now.

Great.

At the end of the film, after several years apart, Sebastian (played by Ryan Gosling) and Mia (played by Emma Stone) share a meaningful glance after several years apart, realising that they are now fulfilled in their lives, having found happiness pursuing their own interests.

The ending went against a traditional happy ending for the love interest, and was something of a gut punch.

You may also know that at the Academy Awards on Sunday, La La Land was announced as the Best Picture, mistakenly.

The error was quickly rectified, but not before the actors, director and producers had gotten on stage and begun acceptance speeches.

Of course, Twitter was howling.

This gem of a tweet emerged on top of the abrasive desert of screaming:

The (absolutely savage) tweet resonated.

Some are still mad, though.

Anyway, here's the La La Land soundtrack.

What a time to be alive.
