This clip of Tucker Carlson talking about Pete Buttigieg is the strangest thing you'll see today

By now, we're no stranger to the fact that Tucker Carlson is a very vocal critic of the media, but his latest attack is even more bizarre than normal.

Speaking on his Fox News show on Tuesday, Carlson talked about the possibility of eating Democratic candidate Pete Buttigeig, and referred to him as a 'hearty stew'.

Carlson said the mayor of South Bend in Indiana, was a media darling, and suggested that the media was simply looking for a 'younger, hotter' Beto O'Rourke.

Then, things got extra bizarre. He proceeded to play a montage of clips praising Buttigeig, including one of MSNBC presenter Nicole Wallace calling him 'chicken soup for my soul'.

Taking the statement literally, which is a reference to the popular series of inspirational books.

In a somewhat off-the-script monolgue, he said:

Chicken soup for my soul?

Even by the naughty standards of the news media, this is a new level of political commitment.

They don’t just want to vote for this guy.

They want to consume him, like a hearty stew.

Every last drop of Buttigieg.

Yum! They’re all in.

Right...

Needless to say, people on Twitter wondered if Carlson was feeling OK?

It's all a bit, erm, over the top.

More than a bit, in fact.

No means no!

Yum. Every last drop.

That seems to be one hell of a stew.

Then it got even weirder. Thank god for the internet.

We're scared, too.

There's only one logical conclusion to this.

Carlson came under fire earlier this year when old tapes were unearthed of him being racist, sexist, and homophobic. In the clip, he said women were 'primitive' and 'like dogs'. In another tape, he was head using racist language, describing Iraqis as 'semiliterate primitive monkeys'.
