Fans beside themselves over Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer rumours – but don’t get too excited yet

In a turn of events that literally sounds like something from a popular sitcom, Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer are said to have “grown close again”, with reports that there is still “chemistry” between the pair.

That’s right – the actors best known to be the on-again-off-again lovers Ross and Rachel in Friends are rumoured to actually be spending a lot more time together at Aniston’s Los Angeles home.

A source close to the pair told Closer magazine that things began to heat up between Schwimmer and Aniston after the long-awaited Friends Reunion special – which aired earlier this year – which had hinted at the two having deeper feelings for each other.

The source said: “After the reunion, it became clear that reminiscing over the past had stirred up feelings for both of them and that chemistry they’d always had to bury was still there.

“They began texting immediately after filming and, just last month, David flew from his home in New York to see Jen in LA. They were also spotted drinking wine, deep in conversation, as they walked around one of Jen’s favourite vineyards in Santa Barbara, where it was clear there was lots of chemistry between them.”

However, we shouldn’t be too hasty and start jumping to conclusions as Schwimmer has already moved to deny this story. A spokesperson for the actor has reportedly told HuffPost UK that these rumours are completely false and there is no blossoming romance between him and Aniston.

While this looks to have been a rumour that has quickly gotten out of hand, fans of the actors and the show couldn’t help but get just a little bit excited.

This one fan appeared to be ahead of the curve.

During the aforementioned reunion show that aired in May, Schwimmer admitted that he “had a major crush on Jen” when they were filming the original show. Aniston replied: “It was reciprocated.”

Aniston has previously been married to Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux, the latter marriage ended in 2017. Schwimmer has been married once, to English artist and writer Zoe Buckman. That relationship also ended in 2017.
