JK Rowling turned down an invite to a sex ball in the politest way possible

JK Rowling, author extraordinaire and all round queen of Twitter, has a habit of pulling out a pithy response to messages from fans.

Whether it's dispelling ridiculous fan theories or inspiring others by explaining why it's OK to fail sometimes, the Harry Potter author has proven time and time again that she's a magical person.

In the latest example of her being brilliant, Rowling turned down the invite to go to the Safer Sex Ball at her former university in Exeter, which requires attendees to go in nothing but their underwear.

Taking to Twitter, the author declined the invite in the politest way possible:
