Prom nights are one of the most special nights of the year for any high school student.

It's the culmination of years of hard work and a chance to be with your friends and look forward to the future.

Twitter user @aeonianlife made her prom night an extra bit special by surprising her date with a truly incredible moment.

@aeonianlife, real name Morgan, has been in a wheelchair for the past 10 months due to complications she suffered during an operation, leaving her with conversion disorder.

Yet, when her prom date Tarik arrived to take her to the event, she was standing there waiting for him and it was something so wonderful that you can't help but well up with emotions.

Morgan shared the video on Saturday and it soon went viral picking up more than 158,000 retweets at the time of writing.

The replies were full of emotion, tears and thanks for Morgan and her date for sharing this precious moment with the rest of the world.
