This British porn star 'risked the death penalty' by going to Iran for a nose job

A British-American porn star accidentally risked the death penalty by travelling to Iran to get a nose job.

Candy Charms uploaded a photograph on her Instagram account earlier this week explaining her journey and describing Iran as the "best in the world" to get plastic surgery - the New York Times reports 20,000 people per year get rhinoplasty in the country.

Hey guys I have been on holiday in Tehran. I only told my very close friends and family as social networks and Twitter are banned so was hard to communicate but I'm back now.

Loved Tehran, the people are so kind, and generous. Really overwhelmed by the whole trip. The people are amazing, even when people don't have much they will do anything for you - really puts your own life in perspective.

Little did she know, however, that pornographers in Iran could be sentenced to death.

The Associated Press reports:

Under Iranian law, spreading corruption via broadcast carries a possible death sentence. Pornography likely would fall under the law's purview.

Hasan Qashqavi, a deputy foreign minister in charge of consular affairs, told the ISNA news agency that Charms had travelled to the country under a different name and had listed her occupation as "hair-stylist".

Charms later deleted her Instagram post after reportedly receiving floods of comments from Iranians.

The BBC reports that her story "proved particularly popular" in Iran on messaging apps such as Telegram.

Charms did not immediately respond to indy100's request for a comment
