We're all aware that 2018 is an incredibly bizarre time for the news, and that things just keep getting stranger and stranger.

And now, just to add to the surreal vibe that we're all constantly reeling from, Stormy Daniels has bumped into Michael Cohen at an airport. Yes, you read that correctly.

In case you've got amnesia, we'll remind you of the two people's relationship to one another.

One month before the 2016 election, Michael Cohen, who was working as Donald Trump's lawyer, paid former adult star Stormy Daniels $130,000 in hush money "as part of an agreement that precluded her from publicly discussing an alleged sexual encounter with Mr. Trump", reported the Wall Street Journal.

The alleged sexual encounter took place in 2006, when the then Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump was married to Melania Trump, who became his spouse in 2005.

Subsequently, Stephanie Clifford, whose stage name is Stormy Daniels, signed an NDA, or non-disclosure agreement. However, she's subsequently spoken candidly about the alleged sexual encounter. She has also gone into depth about why she broke the agreement in her new tell all book, 'Full Disclosure', which went on general release earlier this month.

So, it' should come as no surprise that when Trump's now-former attorney and Daniels bumped into one another at the airport, it was an awkward encounter to say the least.

Taking to her Twitter account, she said:

Needless to say, the internet pretty much went into melt down.

Speaking to CNN about the encounter, Daniels also elaborated:

He looked happy and healthy though.

He looked like he had a weight off his shoulders.

We bet he did, Stormy. We bet he did.
