Over five years in coalition, things became increasingly tense between the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats.
In fact, so frayed did their relationship get that the then-chief secretary to the treasury Danny Alexander tried to present his own Lib Dem budget the day after Osborne delivered the Coalition's in March.
But on the day of the first all-Tory Budget since 1996, the Lib Dem press office has revealed the final nail in the coffin. The Chancellor has blocked them on Twitter. Really.
The Lib Dems confirmed to i100.co.uk that they realised they'd been blocked when trying to look at Mr Osborne's impossibly neat handwriting. They're not exactly sure when it happened but explained that it must have been since the election.
