Despite 'the Ed problem', we're still going to elect Labour at the next election

Despite Ed Miliband's self-proclaimed image problem, voters are still more than willing to vote for his party at next year's election, according to a new poll.

A ComRes survey for the Independent shows that Labour have jumped one point to 33 per cent in opinion ratings, with the Conservatives dropping to 27 per cent - their lowest support since the 2010 election.

However, asked whether Mr Miliband puts them off voting Labour, 54 per cent of the public (as well as 36 per cent of his own party's supporters) agreed, compared to 41 per cent of the public who said it didn't matter.
