When Victoria Baldwin and Adam Dyson divorced, they wanted to make things as easy as possible for their four-year-old son Bruce.

Victoria’s own parents had split up, and she noticed that she didn’t have many childhood photos where she was with both her mother and father together in the same shot.

She's also a professional photographer, so she decided that the three of them should still have their picture taken together every year, despite not being together anymore - so that Bruce still has some special images to look back on.

It might take a bit more organisation, but Victoria knows that it’s worth it. She told The Huffington Post:

Now that we no longer live in the same state, we planned this most recent photo with intention, because it’d been over a year since our last photo, and Bruce is spending longer periods with one parent due to our relocations.

The post of four photos – two before the split, two after – has had over 13,000 likes on Facebook.

Victoria wrote in her post:

We are not in love, we don’t always agree, we’re not best friends, sometimes we don’t even like one another. But you know what we are? We are forever connected because of our beautiful, smart, kind, compassionate, funny son.
