Game of Thrones might have been off the air for a few months now but it appears that Donald Trump hasn't forgotten about it.
In a bizarre turn of events, the actual President of the United States of America has shared a meme of himself in reference to the GOT catchphrase 'Winter is coming.'
Except he's flipped it on its head and announced that 'Sanctions are coming' with the date of November 5 written underneath the slogan.
This is a clear nod to the statement released by the White House earlier today that they will be 'reimposing all sanctions' upon Iran as part of the nuclear deal, which Trump has consistently called 'disastrous.'
A quote from Trump in the statement read as follows:
The United States has launched a campaign of economic pressure to deny the regime the funds it needs to advance its bloody agenda.
The official White House Twitter account also shared the tweet complete with the quote.
This in itself is a huge story so goodness knows why Trump decided to mark the announcement with a meme that imitates a fantasy TV show about dragons and ice zombies.
It appears that a lot of people think the same.
QUOTEThe United States has launched a campaign of economic pressure to deny the regime the funds it needs to advance its bloody agenda.
There were more than a few Game of Thrones references.
Others were just flat out astonished that the president could act like this.
