Donald Trump has been accused of hypocrisy after he appeared to defend Robert Kraft, the owner of the NFL team the New England Patriots, who was charged on Friday for allegedly soliciting a prostitute.
The 77-year-old, who is a friend of Trump's and gave $1 million to the president's inauguration, is believed to be one of a number of people implicated in a sting operation in south Florida at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa, in the city of Jupiter.
Police chief Daniel Kerr said that Kraft is amongst 100 men who have been charged.
He is being charged with the same offence as the others, and that is soliciting another to commit prostitution.
Right now we have two [charges]. ... Two different visits.
In response, Trump told the press in the Oval Office on Friday that he was 'very sad' to hear about Kraft's arrest and added that his friend had 'proclaimed his innocence.'

This is hardly surprising from the president who is more than capable of defending his allies and friends when they have been accused of something, yet is more than happy to criticise his opponents for lesser offences.
Twitter was quick to point this out along with the fact that Trump is defending an alleged sex criminal.
