Yesterday, Donald Trump confirmed that he would not be making a trip to London to open the new US embassy.
His reasoning was a little odd.
He claimed that he wasn't happy that the Obama administration had sold the embassy for "peanuts" and that the new location (Battersea) was "off".
The president's explanation was not entirely true as it was actually the Bush administration that had organised the move and the sale.
There have been suggestions from some that concerns over planned protests during the visit may have swayed his decision as well.
Given the flimsy reason for his cancellation, people on Twitter have taken the opportunity to mock the Commander in Chief with their own reasons for not visiting the capital city.
Needless to say, some of the tweets are brutal and hilarious.
